Ever been driving along and have the alternator belt squeal then break, maybe it didn't break but made noises and there wasn't any more adjustment? I mean, here you are needing a new belt installed but you're at a rest stop in Lower Lompoc! The last thing you want to do is yank of 2 belts to get the furthest in alt. belt replaced on the road!
OK, here you go, this idea came from Eugene L. who took an
idea from his single engine airplane. The safety wire an extra belt right
to the block where you will not need to remove the outer belts to get the
replacement alt. belt on.
It's hard to see but we tie wrapped an extra alt. belt to his water pump against
the block. Great idea man!
