Vintage RV & Motorhome restorations - "The GMC Coop"

Airstream

Another Dream is Alive

Thanks for your visit to the newest segment of our exciting business.  Cooperative Motor Works is expanding its restoration efforts to include the vintage Airstream Motorhomes and Travel Trailers.  This is a natural extension in that these are not only classic RV’s but are designed and built in much the same manner as the classic GMC motorhome was.  They are all aluminum bodies, built to last and be worked on and were also responsible for many innovations that the current and future RV industry base themselves on.

Interested in finding an Airstream for yourself or looking to sell one?  Let us help you, go to our Classifieds page and take a look.

More than just paint and new carpet, our “Retro Roadhouse” Airstream units are an all new concept.  We seek to not only renovate the classic styling and nostalgia of the Airstream but also add to that state of the art materials, technology and ideas to the classic shell.  Everyone identifies the style and shape of the Airstream motorhome and travel trailer but wouldn’t it be nice to have all of that plus quiet efficient temperature control systems, space technology bedding, audio/ video equipment that rattles the windows, comfortable convenient seating, new colors, materials and fabrics?  These and more are the things we put into your custom built “Roadhouse”.  Your imagination is the limit of what we can do to make your roadhouse a one of a kind just for you.   “Retro” is in and will be with us, it has transformed our lives to something relaxing, enjoyable and distinctive.  “Old” is great, but “New Old” is better.  Would you rather cook a quick meal on a gas stove or pop it into the microwave?  Would you like to listen to NPR on your AM radio or CNN on a flat screen hooked to a satellite dish?  Would you like to sleep on a cot foam pad  or on a new memory foam mattress?  Those things and more are all up to you.  We can build a custom unit for you to your spec.  Let us show you what is possible.  Driving an “Hum V” may make a certain statement but pulling a decked out “Roadhouse- Line Shack” with a Hum V is a whole new ballgame!

Take a look at some of the things we have done and are doing with classic Airstream units and for that matter the classic GMC coaches.  Daydream a bit on what you would have if you did it “your way” and give us a call.  The good news is it can all be done and done probably for less than buying one of those new “slab side” monstrosities with style and class they can’t even think of.

Do some homework, look at what is available and you will see that renovating classic coaches and travel trailers in this fashion is not only the styling way to go but also the economical way to go as well.  With our concept of “retro renovation” , you can have it all!  Each unit is one off designed, hand built and detailed to your specification.  These are not “cookie cutter” copies.  There is a huge amount of personal attention put into everything we build– it’s our trademark and our goal.  Let’s build a new classic together, give us a call and get on the schedule.
