Here's a story sent in by Rick and Mary Williams about a nightmare we all have about our coach. It's a tough one alright but it also shows how the GMC community pitches together and helps all. Try to get help like this driving any other machine! It is a bit long but hey, it's worth the read. So get a glass of water, squiggle into your easy chair and get the light set just right, I think you will enjoy this. Hug your tranny

A room with a view
I mean come on, look out the back window of
Fitz coach at Crystal River here in Florida. Hey and check out his bad to
the bone rig
got his "fold-a-boat" up on the roof, dragging a towd loaded with everyyhing his
family could want to have a great weekend
and that he did. Fitz is sporting one of our Co-op Crate motors too so we
have a vested interest in him having a good time with his machine. Rock on
Man!

This comes to us from Jerry Keck. These were taken on a trip near Parker
Arizona on the Colorado River. He says you need to be sure your coach is
in good repair and you have some basic replacement parts on board before you get
out in an area like this. Hey, I wonder if his cell phone worked out there
and the road (if there was one) was on the auto club map?
Could be those dual trucker CB antennas are his means of communication?
Man, what a great backdrop for an original Palm Beach body finish! "Keep
on Truckin" with that bad GMC, enjoy the trip and thanks for the pics.

Jim, I've attached a few photos of my GMC and how I moved from
the nasty winters of Michigan to the desert area of Phoenix.
While in Michigan, I was able to use my GMC only a few months
out of the year. When I retired to Chandler AZ, I can use it as
much as my wallet will allow. Other than the year round
opportunities, Arizona has a wide variety of terrain as well as
lots of free and inexpensive camping opportunities! I love to
get away from the crowds and take my GMC out in the desert just
short of getting stuck! As you can see the sunsets are
amazing--perfect for a nice evening cocktail!!

This is a shot at a remote lake in Georgia. We had pulled
in after dark the night before, and knew that we were near
water. Other than that we had no idea how spectacular the overnite
stop was going to be. With our miniature pinscher dog, we had
been concerned about alligators in the lake. We didn't see any,
but found out later that the water was full of them. There must
not have been any fish, however, as son didn't catch anything.

Montana is the place to be
This is 2 Medicine Park at Glacier National Park in Montana, Wally Anderson was
right when he said this pic looks like some advertising literature. Looks
like the GMC and a VW camper is ganging up on the Skooby Van for a BBQ
Both these classics share one thing-- living through the test of time to be
great examples of engineering design. I loved my 2 VW vans, still have
pieces of the last one! I think I've even got one of those Skooby Van toys
too!
