Insulated super-dooper carb to fuel pump line

This "better" part helps stop vapor lock tied with the carb fuel line getting too hot.  A braided stainless covered teflon hose (PTFE) with a pyrojacket (firesleeve) that resists temps in access of 500 deg. continuous and up to 3000 deg. for 20 min. .  This quality hose fits well without twisting and routes the fuel away from the hot thermostat housing.

Looking for a really good motor for your coach? We have been there and if we all learn through experiences and I gotta tell ya this motor looks really good!  Go to Crate Motors

Transmission governor gear  When your 30+ year old governor gear does this, you now only have 1st & reverse gears.  The transmission does not know to shift, btw-- your speedometer stops working too that tells you this may have occurred.  So much rides on this plastic "break away" part to do it's job that it's a no brainer to renew it or at least have an extra one with you in your parts carry box if it goes out.  , your old one may be working fine--- how much do you want to roll that dice?    Not hard to put in and a life saver, this part only costs $9--- get one!

It's here The new aluminum low profile 455 intake manifold   Go to Aluminum intake for more

NEW Park Brake cable kit The park brake cable system on the GMC was not a very good design, built in friction and cable components prevented its reliable use.  In the past, we have stayed away from restoring this system even though it is very important and even mandatory in many states mainly because I did not feel we could do a good job at making the brake work as well as I thought it should.  NO MORE, this new Park Brake cabling kit works.  It has been designed to take away the internal friction of the original system, is made of top quality materials and is built to a very high tolerance.  Produced in Canada, it is difficult to ship over the border, if you are interested in a set let us know.    Cost is $500 plus shipping-- cheap for a safety device like this that works!  For more information on this product, go to Park Brake Cables

NEW Brake Booster    Hey and this is NOT an original hashed over booster with a different control valve spring or a shaved reaction disc!  Do not be "hoodwinked", if you want a new design booster--- this is it .  $198 and plus $10 for a replacement input shaft and you can use your old booster as fill dirt.

I learn by listening to those in the know and in looking for a "better booster" we have had this all new Delco 3rd generation booster special modified for our GMC.  Having 1450 PSI of boost, this beats the original design 1150 PSI unit, not to say it will do more or make your teeth brighter it's just saying it is as strong and actually a bit more robust than the original.  I understand so much more about boosters in putting this product together and can tell you this is the "cadillac" of boosters for your coach.  This is not a tired original booster with a different strength control arm spring or one with a shaved reaction disc.  You could also raise the sensitivity by heating the control valve spring-- thats all old now with this 3rd generation unit.  Delco matches this booster for the GVW of the vehicle and this booster is made for us.  All new and I mean all new--- I like it, let me know what you think.  If you want the booster set up "sensatized" just let me know-- it's no big deal.  We are committed to bringing you the best we can, how'd we do boss?  Do not use this booster in conjunction with any of those larger master cylinders some people tell you to install.  Those are not needed if you have the rest of your system well maintained and is not designed for the GMC so be careful with that.  Call if you have any further questions, brakes is one of those things you do not want to play with!

Brake hose set, telfon braided -- New-- For you-- the motorhome buying public-- no, this is not snake oil, even though you may mistake them for snakes!  You are looking at a complete set of teflon braided stainless, clear coat covered brake hoses-- front & rear.  How much?  Check this out, $195 for the set of 4 hoses , it's all you need and if you have not changed your hoses in a while-- you need these!  Not available before, especially at this price-- these are our preproduction samples so give us a call and get your order in.   Wanna see more?  Take a close look-- these are quality all the way and price?  Well, you will pay $107 for a set of original style rubber hoses--- so why not get these?  Good question!

We will also sell these hoses separately, fronts are $39.95 each with rears $60.37 each.  We still feel though that both hoses should be replaced if they have not already been.

I am sorry to report that these hoses have increased in cost, seems like everything is going up and well, the manufacturer has passed their increases down the pike.  They are still a very good value and of course are the best hoses you can buy.  Please know that we are doing all we can to keep our prices as low as we can.  Thanks for your business and support.    Jim

We do not offer brake hoses for 80 mm front calipers, that is an improper brake modification and we cannot be involved with doing that in any way!

Big News-----  Go to New 4 air bag system for a looksee at the newest addition to the Co-op parts list.  It's been a long time coming, but we're finally there.

Onan replacement PC board  Don't fool around with that old PC board, get this new one.  Go to Onan parts and find out why and how to get one.

Boost Solenoid  Are you relying on your original boost solenoid?    Shame on you!!  This circuit should be used every time you start your motor and on that day when your chassis battery takes a dump, you will be happy you had a new one.  Only $26 and it fits exact.

Battery isolator  When this fails, you do not charge your batteries, is that important to you--- well then spike that gun and replace it before you have a problem-- I know it's scary but why not plan ahead!  A little bigger than original 2 holes line up and the unit is still small enough to fit in the original location.  $60 puts this important part in your hand.

Outer CV joint "Sticky boot" and "double bands"
Sticky boot.jpg (50375 bytes)

Sounds like something off the menu of a donut shop, right?  Well, with the demise of the blue "super boot", there had to be something better than that original style black boot with the useless band tabs that always seem to slip off.  Oh yes, we have had the same troubles as all of you have had trying to keep the outer CV boots clamped and sealed.  It gets really depressing replacing snapped boots and bands-- and here is our answer!  This outer CV "sticky" boot is made of a material that has a super bite surface that gives the best chance to keep the band from slipping plus they have a lip completely around the boot with a deep band depression, a real breath of fresh air for those that have had the band actually pop off while it is being tightened.  These boots are $12.50 each which is cheap for such a better mouse trap.

See, its really not the mechanics fault that the boots that are available today slip off, its the lousey part.  Can't tell you how many people have called looking for this part.  We bought all of the "super boots" as insurance trying to keep our work from coming back, the super boot has a band slot the same size as this new sticky boot which kept it in place.  Now we have a new even better boot for you and for our techs too.

This boot along with our new 7 mm stainless steel double wrapped band makes the best attempt and providing the best possible boot system for the outer CV boots.  The bands are $2 each.  These bands used to be available but the manufacturer has discontinued it so to my knowledge they are all but impossible to find.

This makes it cost you $17.50 per side for the best possible CV protection, thinking what that joint does for you thats cheap!  You will need a ratchet band clamp tool but this too is the best way to tighten up the band, most shops will have this tool but if you want one, the tool costs $24   Call if you need more information.

Rear suspension "Super greaser" bogy greaser

Man, we've got the new- improved bogy greaser in and they are PURFECT!!!

These making getting grease to the rear of the bogy pin a snap.  Wether you have a large or small grease channel in your rear pins, this new kit has screw on fittings for either size.  Try the big one, if it won't go in, screw on the smaller tip and you are good to go!  Bogy greaser 1.jpg (89817 bytes) (original style)  Thanks goes out to Gary Kosier for the design and manufacture of this great little widget--- great job  $60 for a set of 4-- you can't beat that!  These are supplied to us by our good friend and GMC enthusiast Gary  who came up with it.  Good job man, you know he's a crafty little devil, he's always thinking.  You wouldn't know it by his manners but he's thinking all the time-- we need more guys and more little "widgets" like this.  If you've got something that you think GMC owners can't live without, let us help you promote it, we have many people looking to us for stuff like this.  We are happy to help both the builder and people in need get together--- it's part of who we are.

Allison style Torque Converter
Allison converter.jpg (83842 bytes)  So you might say, "Why do I need this"?
Well, you don't HAVE to have this but you should want something like it.  This is an "extreme duty" torque converter specially modified with 3 bosses to fit the GMC.  The torque twister is furnace brazed not regular welded, has a heavier thrust bearing, steel rivets on the fins, heavy duty spragg but the big news is it has a "thrust plate" welded to the center to stop the "ballooning" or swelling a torque converter does under heavy load.  This unit is custom modified and in its regular application is used in school buses and dump trucks.  The stall is stock so it won't cause a uncomfortable ride.  So what else could you ask for?  Well, it would be nice if they were free but no, that's a bit much to ask.  They do run $185 with a good core, core charge is $50 so for you guys that want a unit shipped you would need to keep your old one (not worth the price of shipping besides you could never get all the fluid out) add $50 to the amount.  So most of this will be an in house deal but that's OK.

NEW!  rear suspension air compressor

Compressor closeup.jpg (67418 bytes)  Unit & parts.jpg (65421 bytes)

This new compressor is a good replacement for the original V2 Delco compressor.  It is a direct drive, single cylinder unit that runs at a higher RPM thus giving similar if not more CFM.  The unit comes with a remote mounted intake filter system and even has 3 replacement filters included, a Braided stainless steel outlet hose and a polished aluminum cylinder head.  The heavy duty (actually heavy weight) motor is well suited for our use.  The included shock feet will need a new mounting plate in that the footprint is different but if you prefer, we can supply it for you for $10 additional with the kit (the interior mounted units do not need the new mounting plate).  The complete kit is $225 plus shipping.  The only other fitting you may need would be a new fitting into the tank and new plastic air line if you decide to replace the feed line to the tank.

Give ma a call if you have any other questions.

Air Bag shut/fill kit   As you well know, if something happens to your rear air ride suspension and you loose air pressure, you are parked!  When the air ride system is working it provides a smooth ride, that's the reason GM used it.

Ask any pilot, back-up systems for critical systems are very important.  On a GMC motorhome, the rear air ride system is one such.  There needs to be a simple method for isolating each air bag from the system and controlling the pressure to the bags independently from the rest of the system.  This shut off/ fill kit does just that.   Just above the height control valve between the wheels, you will add a positive shut off valve to isolate the air path from the air bag and a Schrader valve to enable you to fill the air bags there.

Now, no matter what happens to your air compressor or control systems, you will always be able to pressurize the air bags and get home safely.

We have many customers who use this kit in place of their burned out compressor.   Some GMC owners answer this safety question of emergency air bag inflation by explaining they carry Schrader valves to thread into the air bags directly .  I can't believe they have accomplished screwing in those valves at 2 AM in the driving rain on the side of the road.  With this kit and a simple cigarette lighter compressor from Wal-Mart you can easily air up your system without a hassle!

The added bonus of having the ability of taking out the air bags from the rest of the system for storage helps prevent the bag from losing pressure and "squatting" the coach over time.

Any way you look at it, this kit should be a must as piece of mind and a back-up.  This kit is not rocket science and you may be able to piece a system together for yourself but for the price of $50 for both sides, it's not worth wasting your valuable time poking through the brass bin at your hardware store.   And of course if you can't figure the darned thing out, you could always follow the directions that come in the box!

But this, some day you'll be glad you did!

Add a remote mounted Schrader valve on the "T" skirt for easy fill access for $15.

Intake manifold renovation  You betcha this is an important part for your GMC.  The 455 & 403 intake manifolds are having the problem of cracks forming between the secondary ports when this crack reaches the floor of the interior exhaust gasses from the cross over port contaminate the vacuum and performance then goes out the window.  If you have low vacuum, rough idle, poor performance under load or intermittent performance issues, this may be your trouble.     As carburetors age, they need more than good cleaning and new gaskets-- they need to be remanufactured.  Send us your carb., we will have it brought back to like new condition.
