Vintage RV & Motorhome restorations - "The GMC Coop"

You are here: Home / The Daily Pose / 7 hours on the road…….it hurt so good!

September 5, 2020

7 hours on the road…….it hurt so good!

……..No problems……well the original cruise control needs to be centered but heck, I wanted control of that beast under my foot anyway!  Pulling into Pompano Beach for a very special mission.

Why did I name this business “Cooperative Motor Works”?  The business plan sought to achieve cooperation between experienced professionals and folks wanting to have things done to their vintage baby.

I wanted more than a business, I want a movement!  The talented mechanics who made this industry are timing out…..we all will time out sooner or later but a big tragedy of this is the loss of the knowledge.  I think saving that knowledge is important.

To that end, our custom sensitized brake booster guru is angling to retire…… He’s giving us the knowledge to build these unique boosters this weekend.  Yes, we will now be able to offer not rebuilt but NEW sensitized brake boosters!

Not old rebuilt, we are buying new, late model boosters then doing the sensitized modification to them.  No core shipping, no wondering if the worked over booster will last, we offer new,  late model metric stud booster custom built by us for the GMC…….. That’s bringing things all together.Picking Ray and his wife up in Pompano Beach for a weekend at the Co-op resort in Orlando we’re going to get this knowledge to add to our collective today and tomorrow.  It’s awesome to see this all come together!

I’ll do pixs, call us on Tuesday……after the holiday…..if you’re interested in having one of these performance brake components …….see ya later
